Mr Trincomalee Rajeswaran Saravanakumar, affectionately known as Papa Thambi, passed away peacefully on 15 January 2026. Born in Trincomalee, he later lived in Tellippalai, Sri Lanka, and Chennai, India.

He lived a life guided by integrity, discipline, and deep devotion to his family, earning respect in both his professional and personal life.

Beloved son of late Rajeswaran and late Athinayaki.

Beloved husband of Sivamani Saravanakumar, daughter of late Naganathar and late Ahilanayaki.

Loving father of Suntharakumari Sounthararajan (Sunthari), Kunaseelan Saravanakumar (Raju), and Dr Rajeswaran Saravanakumar Raajanathan (Santhosh).

Cherished father-in-law of Murugesu Sounthararajan (Ravi), Kunaseelan Selvarajini (Raji), and Dr Thanusha Raajanathan (Thanu).

Adored grandfather of Shushaanth, Ashaanth, Aniruthan, Seiyyon, and Tharaa, and loving grandfather-in-law of Dr Nishani.

Proud great-grandfather of Arjuna Jeyam Sounthararajan.

Funeral is on Monday 19th January in Chennai. Between 11am and 12:30pm.
